Two BIG Bank Holiday fairs this weekend

Forest Tavern

Forest Tavern

It’s the first Bank Holiday weekend of May and with it comes two Dig A Little Record Fairs. First up on Saturday we return to our East London home at the Forest Tavern for our usual day of digging, good music and scotch eggs. We’ve got a bumper crop of sellers this month, including a few new faces, including John and his assortment of rock centric goodies, and Lukasz who will be bringing across a few new reissues of rare Italian Library/Easy Listening/OST from SONOR Music Editions. Guest DJs on the day this month are Matt Love (Issey’s Groove / The Dig Over) and Girth Devon (ex-Crazy Beat).

Meanwhile over in Sydenham this Sunday, our colleague Chris and his wife Yasemin will be hosting another little musical get together at Sugahill Cafe. Running 10am till 4pm and with all the coffee and cake you could possibly want to consume, it’s the funkiest Sunday afternoon we can think of in SE26, with DJs Olie Tufkut, Mr Parker, Mr Brooker, Chris and Guy from My Turn Please supplying the soul, funk, hip-hop and roots reggae vibes. There will of course be crates of vinyl to dip into as well, with confirmed fresh stock coming from Dalston’s Eldica Records and a new seller in the form of Chris B who will be bringing close to a 1000 original 60s & 70s US Soul LPs and 45s!

Both sessions are free so if you find yourself in the area, do please feel free to pop in!
