So our third Dig A Little event at The Forest Tavern came and went and with it was another choice collection of sounds from our residents and special guest Les Fisher. However, before we get to Mr Fisher’s excellent set, we thought we’d share an hour and a half of Sid Ford‘s delicious jazz-infused selections and here it is, in all it’s techicolour glory (you’ve got to love the purple sleeve of that WAR opener!). As we edge ever closer to our April event, here’s the final upload from this month’s session. Resident Sid Ford steps up behind the decks to drop just over an hour’s worth of vinyl straight out of his record bag. Taking in an assortment of styles, Sid kicks off with a little Police classic before dipping into his modern soul crate to pull our some Sharon Jones and Nicole Willis. There’s mellow jazz funk from Nat Adderley, a host of killer soul and funk from Rufus, Bill Withers, Jae Mason, and jazz rock from Traffic.
